Herpes - An 'Angel' named Angela...

After the incident at the doctor's office, I did research and reached out to others within the Herpes community for assistance. One of the people who came to my aid and provided awesome e-mail emotional support was Angela, the superwoman behind the above web sites. There is a link to her main website, Yoshi2me.com, in the Herpes Links.

I have only just become acquaintanced with Angela, but have much admiration for what she has accomplished. You have to take a look at her website, Yoshi2me.com, to understand.

Angela started Yoshi2me.com, after having been diagnosed with herpes herself. EVERYTHING you see on her website is an act of love towards others who are seeking information, help, and support.

In Angela's own words: "I have devoted my free time to helping others realize that they are not alone. Having Herpes, HPV, or any sexually transmitted infection (STI) doesn't define who you are as a person either! With a little bit of knowledge, compassion, and understanding anyone diagnosed with Herpes or HPV will eventually come to a point where they will be accepting of themselves with a deeper appreciation for others as we all continue to live out the life we only get to live once."

Whether or not you have herpes, I invite you to check out the links in today's log. If you know someone who has herpes, please feel free to direct them towards H-Pals Herpes Support. If you have heard a public figure of any sort make disparaging remarks about herpes, using herpes as a 'punchline', I strongly encourage you to go to the Herpes Awareness And Advocacy link. There you will find more information on what you can do to help discourage such actions.

Finally, please take a moment to check out, Inspirational Herpes Stories - Written To Inspire And Bring Hope. If you have an inspirational story to share, I invite you to contact Angela so she might add your story to her website. Angela has asked if I might write my story for inclusion on her web site. I plan to do so in the very near future.

Best wishes to everyone!

~ Michelle
